ICEL Endorsed - Emergency Lighting - Understanding Legislation, Design, Risk Assessment and the Importance of Competence

This course will give delegates a lighter look at the legislative basis and need for emergency lighting, covering the key standards and guidance but extends this to live risk assessment, exercises that lead to better decisions about what needs safe and sufficient lighting upon power failure.

It includes group design exercises that allow you to question where to put signs and lighting in real buildings that will establish a safe way out for staff and public using competent design.

You will look into how to go about selecting, testing, installing, and maintaining well-designed products compliant to the relevant certifications.

Using real-life examples and experience of some of the UK’s most experienced designers you will end the course with exercises on how you might measure and prove competence.
