- Understand and complete the TM66 Circular Economy CEAM Self-Assessments: Gain knowledge and practical skills in conducting self-assessments using the TM66 framework, identifying areas for improvement, and developing action plans for circular economy implementation
- Familiarise with the TM66 Assured Product Verification Scheme: Comprehend the purpose, benefits, and verification process of the TM66 Assured Product Verification Scheme, and understand how self-assessment findings align with the scheme's standards
- Enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the context of circular economy: Develop the ability to analyse complex scenarios, evaluate trade-offs, and propose innovative solutions to challenges encountered during the self-assessment process

Jack Adams, the Laboratory Manager at LIA Laboratory, boasts a decade of experience with the team. He attended the University in Sheffield, earning a degree in Electronic Engineering, and is also a qualified electrician, providing a solid background in installation. Jack’s tenure at the LIA has been defined by his dedication to advancing laboratory standards and ensuring top-quality testing & services, contributing to the lab’s status as one of only four NCBs in the UK. Beyond work, Jack enjoys watching movies, spending time with his wife, and caring for their fluffy cats.

Kieran Merrills
Kieran has over 20 years of experience working in a wide range of laboratories in different industry sectors, after working in the safety laboratory at The LIA since 2019 Kieran has made the step up to the role of Certification Manager. Using the knowledge from safety testing of luminaires, LED modules & control gears to International (IEC), European (EN) & British (BS) testing standards he is able to manage and advise on The LIA’s (TSD & LIASC) and ICEEE’s (CB certificate) certification schemes.
Kieran’s experience of working to recognised testing standards in other labs as well as within the lighting industry has helped him develop the skills and knowledge to provide technical support and advice to LIA members for ongoing projects within the Certification department, for future projects and to explain testing clauses from the testing standards. This technical knowledge as well as that of the wider laboratory team has helped The LIA Laboratory become recognised as being at the fore front of testing and technical expertise in the lighting industry.
