We advocate for the interests of our members at all levels. We are dedicated to bolstering our industry's influence in the UK and internationally. The strategy is to establish an evidence base for consultation responses and to inform good policy and regulation.

Our strong connections with key government departments and stakeholders in the UK and abroad underscore our work. Through our active participation within LightingEurope, we maintain crucial partnerships with European Trade Associations, even post-Brexit, to continue the UK industry's role in shaping EU regulations.

The LIA are active in numerous standards development organisations including IEC, ISO, CENELEC, CEN and BSI. We are also members of several organisations such as British Energy Efficiency Federation (BEEF), Construction Leadership Council (CLC), Lighting Liaison Group (LLG), MAKE UK and EURIS which allows us to increase our voice, outreach and to gain valuable insights into government, the economy, sustainability, trade andmanufacturing. We use every opportunity to promote the value of light to attract and retain young talent and ultimately raise standards.
