The LIA's Spring Technical Forum 2024 - A Convergence of Expertise, Sustainability, and Emerging Talent
The LIA continues to provide a platform for members to learn and share good practice with an exciting programme - for their Spring Technical Forum featuring leading experts in lighting. Designed to educate and inform members on upcoming changes and updates within the lighting industry, providing dedicated time to network, it’s scheduled to take place on Thursday 18th April 2024 at The Studio, a centrally located and modern venue in Birmingham.
Building on the resounding success of the Autumn Tech Forum 2023 and in alignment with The LIA's commitment to encourage a more diverse audience, they are pleased to announce the continuation of the Future Lighting Leaders 50% discount. This initiative, aimed at members aged 40 years and younger, ensures that a wide range of voices and perspectives are represented within the industry.
The event is set to explore the frontiers of lighting technology. With an emphasis on sustainability practices, the latest advancements in emergency lighting, and the intricacies of building regulations and lighting controls, the day will delve deep into the subjects that matter most to The LIA members.
In a special feature of this year's forum, Loughborough University product design students shortlisted from their Exterior Lighting Design Brief, proposed by The LIA and Holophane, will be showcasing their innovative designs. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to view and discuss these cutting-edge projects, providing valuable industry feedback. This initiative offers a platform for interaction between industry experts and the future luminaries of the lighting industry, highlighting The LIA’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent.
"The LIA team is beyond excited about the upcoming Spring Tech Forum, where we’ll bring together the brightest minds and the most passionate professionals in our field,” remarked Ayça Donaghy, CEO of The LIA. This event is about more than just the advancements we discuss; it's about building a community that's ready to lead the charge into tomorrow, together."
