This module made me realise how important designing a space with the ideal lighting is for productivity, personal health, and safety. Learning how to enhance products and their environments though lighting has revolutionised my perspective on design. This module also enhanced my understanding of sustainable lighting practices by showing how carefully considered designs can have significant long term environmental benefits.

Lighting plays a significant role in optimising the workplace; different lighting setups can improve focus, energy levels, and overall productivity. I found it particularly helpful to see how the training broke down each aspect of the effects of lighting into separate groups (what/ why/ how). The content structure allowed me to fully grasp the impact of lighting on the psychology of office workers, and how lighting should be used to maximise happiness above all else.
