This course provides a foundational understanding of how to be compliant when placing a product on the market. We will explore the different testing and information required as well as who is responsible.

Part of the Core Introduction to Lighting Certificate, this course can also be taken as a standalone programme.

Who is this course for?

Perfect for those new to the lighting industry, either as part of their on-boarding or to refresh existing knowledge in this topic area. This course will also be great for those wishing to enter the UK lighting market with a new product, who may not have done so before.

 

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, learners will:

  • Gain an understanding of what Electricity is
  • Understand who is responsible for compliance
  • Have a basic knowledge of what is required for a fitting to be compliant
  • Have a rudimentary understanding of what product markings are required
