E.ON Connecting Energies GmbH has signed an agreement with UK-based smart building solutions provider enModus.

The Smart Buildings market is forecast to reach over $20.8 billion globally in 2022, according to an IHS Markit study. As one of Europe’s top energy suppliers E.ON focuses on delivering smart and sustainable building solutions, empowering costumers to reduce consumption as well as costs and creating financial and environmental benefits for their business.
Garance Emmerich-Bundel, Head of Product Management and Engineering, E.ON Connecting Energies GmbH, said:
“At E.ON we create imaginative energy solutions that help our business customers prosper. The agreement with enModus gives us the opportunity to offer our customers new solutions that drive energy efficiency and reduced carbon emissions.”
The first joint installation of the enModus solution was implemented in January 2019 at the E.ON Research Centre which is part of the RWTH Aachen University, Germany. The solution will provide connected lighting and occupancy mapping as the buildings initial stage of smart-ness. Additional smart technologies will be integrated to drive energy efficiency and improve the occupants wellbeing.
